“Colonnade of Craft” exists as both a virtual piece, a digital paravant, as well as a physical piece of fabric panels. A paravent embraces both craft and art, much like the Bauhaus principles. In participation with The Women Bauhuas Collective by La Prairie, this 6 month long project is not only an homage to the women of the Bauhaus weaving workshop, but also a celebration to the collective creativity produced within our own collective. For the physical version of Colonnade of Craft, the fabric panels are formed by using a mix of monotype printing and sewing techniques in order to create and assemble the fabric.
